Use a mask to tell the editor where your idea belongs.

The art of a small, useful edit.

Choose the area

Upload your photo and select the brush. Paint over the area to replace. Include a little surrounding space where a new shape or shadow needs room. Use the eraser to protect detail you want to keep.

Describe the replacement

Say what should appear in the masked area, including lighting and perspective. You do not need to describe every part of the original image again. For object removal, the nearby scene supplies useful context.

Inspect the boundary

Zoom in before you submit. Look for missed edges and accidental marks. Undo and redo work stroke by stroke. Download the black-and-white mask if you want to keep it with your source file.

Keep your original

Work from a copy and compare the result with the original. A mask identifies an area to edit; it cannot guarantee a particular inference outcome. The preview canvas and mask export work before an AI service is connected.
